Completion of Onyx Summit Plus Dutch Hoag Weekend Next Up For Black Rock Speedway
DUNDEE, NY – For Immediate Release – September 22nd, 2015 – Curtis Berleue photo –
The Onyx Summit was setting up to be one of the most exciting 602 Sportsman features of the 2015 season, before Mother Nature intervened on Saturday September 19th. Rains overtook the ‘Fast Four-Tenths-Mile’ just prior to the feature races being run- the 50-lap Onyx Summit, a 30-lap Street Stock race, the 50-lap NY6A Micro Sprint Tour championship and the 100-lap 4-6 Cylinder Enduro.
All of these events will be run coming up in October during the annual Dutch Hoag National Open Weekend Friday October 23rd and Saturday October 24th. The enduro event will be rolled into the Saturday portion of the two-day show, while the other three races will be made up on Friday night. Due to the 9/19 racing program being more than half completed, rain checks will not be honored for Dutch Hoag Weekend.
This leaves a huge lineup for Dutch Hoag weekend, which is run in honor of local racing hero and father of Black Rock Speedway owner, Dutch Hoag. There have also been some additions to Dutch Hoag weekend that will make drivers from several racing divisions give consideration to participate.
The weekend will include racing action from Modifieds, 602 Sportsman, Crate Late Models, 360 Late Models, Street Stocks, IMCA Modifieds, 4 Cylinders, 600cc Micro Sprints and enduro cars. If it races on dirt, chances are you will find it at Black Rock Speedway in October!
