IMCA Modifieds, Street Stocks and 4 Cylinders To Run Full Point Races At ‘The Rumble’ June 2nd

DUNDEE, N.Y. -- For Immediate Release -- May 27th, 2015

Since the announcement of the ‘Rumble at The Rock’ several questions have come up about the divisions that will also take part in the night’s action on Tuesday June 2nd.  The M&M Auto Sales & Service IMCA Modifieds, MRC Street Stocks and NAPA Know How 4 Cylinders will all run full point shows as part of ‘The Rumble’.

“We have had these divisions on the card since the original schedule came out in March,” said Black Rock Speedway Promoter Mike Jackson.

“We have been fielding a lot of questions in the last 24 hours about this show so we wanted to get in front of it.  I wanted to make sure all details about the show were available as far ahead of time as we could once we realized there might be some confusion.”

Keith Lamphere goes into this Friday night’s racing activity with a 10 point lead over Rich Karlnoski and Scott Sebring.  Feature winner earlier this season, Jason Benjamin currently rests 14 points behind the leader.  Rookie Sparky Hills currently sits 5th in points- 20 points back of Lamphere.

Jared Hill used a feature win on Friday night to open up an 8 point lead in the MRC Street Stocks over teammate and friend Tracy Dunn in the 21 car.  Hill picked up the victory on May 22nd after not having won a street stock race in 4 years and 2 days.  The Dundee, NY driver has a 28 point lead over Dresden, NY pilot Nate Daggett, 29 point lead over Geneva’s CJ Guererri and 34 points over Penn Yan’s Roger Kerrick.

Chad Ayers has used strong consistent finishes to find himself in the points lead in the NAPA Know How 4 Cylinders.  Ayers has finished no worse than 4th and took another third place finish Friday night all the way to the top of the standings.  He is now 1 point ahead of Rich Sharpsteen in the Flyin’ X who has a pair of wins in 2015.  Rick Horton is 5 points back of Ayers, Del Cummings is 18 points back and defending champion Scott Bradley finds himself 19 points back.

As a reminder- the Crate Sportsman and Creekside Entertainment Bandits will NOT be on the racing card for the Tuesday June 2nd show presented by S.P. Wilson, Inc.  The racing action will take the green flag on Tuesday June 2nd at 7PM.

One final Friday night of weekly competition comes up this Friday that will serve as a final tune up for ‘The Rumble’ coming up just 4 days after.  The Big Block/Small Block Modifieds will be joined by the Crate Sportsman, M&M Auto Sales & Service IMCA Modifieds, MRC Street Stocks, NAPA Know How 4 Cylinders and Creekside Entertainment Bandits.  Pits open at 4:30PM, Grandstands at 5PM with race time scheduled for 7PM.
