New Black Rock Speedway Promoters Mike Jackson and Sue Foster are hitting the ground running as far as getting the speedway operational for the start of the 2015 season. The first step is getting their staff into place and the second will be to meet with drivers to discuss the schedule, rules and payouts for each division.
The new promoting duo announced on Friday that they will be holding their pre-season ‘Meet and Greet’ session on Sunday January 25th, 2015 in Dundee, NY. Here are the details of the event:
2015 will see the return of the Dirt Modifieds to Black Rock Speedway on a full-time basis. The announced payout was $1,200 to win weekly with positions 17-24 taking home at least $100 to start. Another division that has had a lot of buzz prior to Jackson being announced was whether the Street Stock purse would remain the same in 2015? Jackson confirmed that earlier this week and looks forward to meeting with racers and teams on the 25th.
Jackson added, “We hope to see familiar faces and new faces at the rules meeting and meet and greet. I look forward to having the opportunity to lay out or plans and objectives for the 2015 season. We are thrilled to be promoting the speedway and this is step 1 in our journey of leading the ship.”
