DOUBLE POINT FINALE TO DETERMINE ALL TRACK CHAMPIONS AT THE OUTLAW SPEEDWAY

The Friday, September 10, 2021 event pulls curtain on the regular season heading into post season play.

Story by Kenny Shupp Jr.

Dundee, NY). After a 2021 race season that muddled thru no less than seven full washouts and one partial loss to Mother Nature, Outlaw Speedway owner/promoter, Tyler Siri will pull down the curtain on the regular point season. Friday, September 10 will see double points across the board for all seven weekly classes, a tradition he began when purchasing the popular Yates County oval some six years ago.

“Double Points makes it real interesting to say the least.  It puts more emphasis on drivers and teams to step up to the plate and produce the goods.  Several classes have extremely tight point battles with any driver in the top five or more having a methodical chance to pick up the track titles in their respective divisions.  Throw in double points and a guy that’s third can potentially leap- frog over the whole group if that driver can find victory lane and if some of all the other guys have an off night or don’t finish.  It sure will make it exciting for the fans as well with many having calculator, paper and pen in hand doing the math.”  That according to track owner, Tyler Siri.

For a complete look at the current point standings simply go to www.outlawspeedway.com.

The Friendly Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram Modifieds will head up the Super 7 Show where former Outlaw Speedway Track Champion, Steve Paine holds a slim margin over Bobby Varin.  The Dr., Danny Johnson as well as Kyle Coffey are still withing striking distance and with double points on the line any miscue by The Hurricane could change the whole complexity of the point battle. Paulie Colagiovanni will lead the points heading into the Sept. 10 event in the inaugural season for the Lane’s Yamaha 360 Sprints.  However, Paulie G need not look hard over his shoulder as Juice Jared Zimbardi and No Panic Davey Franek both still have a shot. A pair of 602 Crate Sportsman Classes will see action including the Sunrise Insulation American Racer Tire as well as the Speed Connection DIRTcar Hoosier Tire Divisions.  In the American Racer Division Alex Payne heads into the finale with less than a twenty- point advantage over former track champ, Chris Fisher and thirty over last season’s AR track champion, Karl Comfort. Riding the wave of a dozen feature wins thus far in 2021, Glen Whritenour has already clinched the Stan’s No Tubes Street Stocks Division, however a spirited battle for second continues to brew between Gene Sharpsteen and Jared Hill.  Like the Street Stocks, the NAPA Hobby Stocks already have a champion in Marc Minutolo who will head into the event riding a three-race winning streak. Last but certainly not lease the Winner’s Circle Deli 4 Cylinder Mini Stocks will round out the Super 7 Show.  Scott Lehman has been a picture of consistency all season and leads the points by finishing in the lead group week in and week out.  Kenneth Evans had an earlier season win streak that has kept him lose to Lehman, however Brian Corky Grant has been the show as of late winning the last five in a row and although not in the hunt, Grant will make all the rest work hard for the division championship.
