OUTLAW SPEEDWAY LOSES SUPER DIRT SERIES BIG BLOCK MODIFIED EVENT TO RAIN

(Dundee, NY)  As it has on countless occasions for numerous other northeast race venues over the past year, poor weather conditions has once again put the kibosh to the race events at the Outlaw Speedway.

This time it was the Tuesday, May 7, 2019 Super Dirtcar Series Big Block Modified event and support classes that took it on the chin as afternoon rain showers and a forecast for more scattered showers throughout the evening left the management team at the facility no other choice but the pull the plug on the high profile event.

Damned if you do, damned if you don’t stated track owner, Tyler Siri.  We knew this morning that the forecast didn’t look good for the night of events and we waited as long as possible before cancelling.  But, we have to take into consideration the fact that numerous race teams and fans are coming from great distances for this event and we have to think about those folks in making our determination when it comes to cancelling early or trying to stay the course. We wanted desperately to get this show in as we have suffered thru three previous rainouts so far this year, but it just wasn’t meant to be.”

At this point in time there is no make -up date for the running of the Super Dirtcar Big Block Modified Series, Ultimate Outlaw 100 which features the top Modified stars.

Up next at Outlaw it will be a Super 7 Show set for Friday, May 10 with all gate times and admission prices posted at www.facebook.com/OutlawSpeedwayLLC/.
