(DUNDEE, N.Y.) – Make your plans to visit Tyler Siri’s Outlaw Speedway on Friday September 23rd and Saturday September 24th as the inaugural Fall Nationals presented by M&W Aluminum is less than ten days away!
Two days of the best dirt track racing in the Finger Lakes and Southern Tier is ready to kick off with major prize money being posted for all divisions in competition. The Outlaw Fall Nationals in total will see 360 Sprint Cars, Dirt Modifieds, Crate Sportsman, IMCA Modifieds, Street Stocks, Four Cylinders and 600 Micro Sprints compete.
Friday night will see three different Northeast 360 Sprint Car organizations converge on the ‘Fast Four-Tenths-Mile’ as the Lucas Oil Empire Super Sprints, Patriot Sprint Tour and United Racing Club meet for a $5,000-to-win show. The last sprint car show in August saw an epic battle between Jared Zimbardi and Mark Smith, finishing in a photo finish. With more new clay added to the speedway since then, the sprints are likely to be faster than fans have seen in several seasons.
Night one will also see Crate Sportsman compete on Hoosier tires only for a twenty-five-lap show paying $1,500-to-win. The IMCA Modifieds will race twenty-five-lap $1,000-to-win Fast Shafts Ballot Qualifier that will also pay State, Regional and National IMCA points. Michigan’s AJ Ward has already committed to racing in this event along with drivers like Jake Maynard and Will Ward who won on opening night.
The Street Stocks will race in a thirty-five-lap show paying $1,500 and a whole lot more to take the checkered flag. The top two finishers will be guaranteed starters for the Empire 100 on October 22nd. However, the winner of this race will also earn a guaranteed starting spot for the $1,000-to-win Woodhull 100 the next day on Saturday September 24th.
Creekside Racing and Turn 5 Live have also teamed up to offer the September Street Stock Sweep. A $200 bonus, if a driver can win both the Outlaw Speedway feature on 9/23 and Woodhull 100 on 9/24.
The Four Cylinders will go twenty-five laps for $1,000-to-win to close out the Friday night program. The rules being every car weighs 2,500 pounds, no strokers, no roller heads, no super chargers, no turbos and DOT tires only, tube chassis being allowed.
After the racing program Friday, local country music recording artist Devon Franks will play a post-race concert for those interested in sticking around to celebrate the Fall Nationals in style.
Saturday features Round 2 of the open tire Sunoco $25,000 Modified Triple Crown, with a forty-lap $5,000-to-win feature event. Tyler Siri still has a chance to win the $25,000 Sunoco bonus if he can win this event and win the Dutch Hoag Memorial in October. But, one driver can still spoil the party if they can win the Fall Nationals and Dutch Hoag Memorial, to take home the partial prize of $12,500.
Also on the card Saturday will be an open tire Crate Sportsman Shootout, going thirty-five laps for $2,000-to-win. The Four Cylinders will go thirty laps under the same rules from Friday night for $1,500-to-win. The Saturday lineup will also feature the 600 Micro Sprints, who will go twenty laps for $1,000-to-win.
The IMCA Modifieds will race in round two of their Fall Nationals weekend, racing in their $1,500-to-win thirty-five-lap A-Main with 2017 Fast Shafts Ballot Qualifiers on the line.
Both shows will pay out National, Regional and State IMCA points. Saturday night will double in that the Empire State Series will hold their annual Fall event at Outlaw Speedway, with Empire State Series points up for grabs.
Racing begins at 7:00 on Friday night with general admission being $20 for adults 13 and up with Senior Citizens paying the discounted price of $18. Pit gates open at 4:00 with pit admission being set at $35.
Saturday night will see racing take the first green flag at 5:00 for just $20 for adults ages 13 and up, and $18 for Senior Citizens.
Children 12 and under are always FREE at Outlaw Speedway. Camping is also always free on the grounds as well. 2016 saw the speedway expand its camping area with plenty of room for the whole family to pack up and make it a weekend.
