(DUNDEE, N.Y.) – After making his way to victory lane in the 2015 Empire 100, and finishing a close 2nd place in points last season, CJ Guererri is more than ready for the 2016 racing season.

Guererri, out of Geneva, NY, has been behind the wheel for 11 years, and he started out in the bandit class when the track was known as Black Rock Speedway.  When asked why he chose to race Street Stocks, Guererri stated, “ I’ve always loved the full fender classes. The Street Stock class has always had a decent car count, and was always very competitive.”

Coming from a family who has always been involved in racing, deciding to race was something that came naturally to him.  Guererri always has his brother David and father David Sr. by his side whenever the No. CJ1 rolls into town.  For this team, it's all about racing with the family.  The team even brings anywhere from 5-10 people in the grandstands, clad with their red and white team shirts.

In a recent interview Guererri explained why he decided to start his racing career, “my dad was involved in racing for years, and just decided to hand down the helmet and steering wheel.”

After his success in the 2015 season, Guererri plans on going out, having fun, and seeing what this season has in store for him. His motivation is his family, and in his mind nothing compares to seeing their smiling faces on successful race weekends.  Their plans include racing at Outlaw Speedway and doing some traveling on the Fight Night All Star Street Stock Series.

Guererri is already off to a great start this season with a 3rd place finish for week one. With his accomplishments in 2015, CJ Guererri will be one to watch at Outlaw this season.
