Black Rock Rock Launcer 09 Moved to Sunday

DUNDEE, NY - They say April Showers Bring Mayflowers; but in the case of the Black Rock Speedway April Showers is making for rescheduled events, including the Rock Launcher 09 event, which is now set for Sunday.

Rain and near-freezing temperatures has forced the second cancellation in as many days at the Black Rock Speedway. As was the case in 2008, April 5 is now the scheduled opener of the Black Rock Speedway and the all-new racing course. It is the first event that will be run on a Sunday in Dundee, and thankfully the weather is calling for warmer and sunnier skies.

Sunday in Dundee currently calls for temperatures in the mid 50s, mostly sunny skies, decreased wind and plenty of racing!

The only notable change to the plan of events to the schedule for Sunday is that all of the times have been pushed back by two hours. This means that the pit gates will open at 10:00 A.M., with hot laps at 12:00 P.M., time trials for select classes at 1:30 P.M. Grandstand gates will swing open at 1:00 P.M.
