MILITARY APPRECIATION NIGHT

It was hot. It was humid. The action on the track was just as torrid as Danny Johnson found Victory Lane for the first time in 2023 in the mighty modifieds. Johnson started on the outside of Row 5 and quickly worked his way to the front. Matt Sheppard used his regular track canceling to shake down his familiar 9s for Tuesday's Short Track Super Series race, but mechanical woes ended his night on lap 21. In his rookie campaign in a modified Tommy Collins Jr notched his best finish yet coming home in second. Cory Costa recovered from going to the rear on lap one after visting the hot pits to finish in third.
