Monster Trucks Invade Black Rock for the First Time in 2013

Rich Vleck, DUNDEE, NY, (May 28, 2013)- Even though this weekend starts in the month of May, the majority of it is the first weekend in June, which means it is time for the annual first appearance of the Monster Trucks.

Horseheads Pic-A-Part presents a full racing program Friday plus the first night of Monster Trucks, featuring Equilizer, Red Solo Truck and Toxic.  It will be the third racing event of the 2013 season at the Yates County Oval.

Donnie Lawson is off to another fast start in the sportsman division.  The three-time BRS Champion won two weeks ago, as did Ray Bliss, who won the second of the twin 20-lap features. Jason Knowles pulled off a thrilling win in the Late Model division, but Bruce Miller still leads the standings while defending champion sits back in fourth in points.

J.J. Courcy and Rich Karlnoski are tied for the point lead in the IMCA Modified points while young Dylan Cecce is up front in the street stock standings.  J.J. Kreidler is the only driver to win on each night this season and thus has a healthy lead in the Signs Plus of Kanona 4-Cylinder division while Matt Mashewske and Jeremy Trank lead the bandit and FWD divisions, respectively, despite not cracking into Victory Lane thus far.

All of the racing action Friday, plus the Monster Truck excitement, is available for kids 16 and under for FREE with a paid adult, with action kicking off at 6:45 P.M.

On Saturday Night, Naples Valley Auto, along with Castner Performance will present the Monster Trucks along with Adult and Youth Demolition Derbies.  The Monster Truck portion will be highlighted by a Wild Freestyle competition including the Monster Truck Backflip!

Saturday Night’s program will get underway at 7:00 P.M.  It should be noted that no outside food or drinks will permitted on this night.  For more information, visit
