FREE FREE FREE FRIDAY AT BLACK ROCK!!!

Free General Admission Night Along With 600 Sprints and Raceway 5 Challenge

Rich Vleck, DUNDEE, NY, (August 21, 2012)- This Friday will indeed be FREE general admission night at the Black Rock Speedway, but that does not mean that the racing program will be watered-down or cheap by any stretch of the imagination; in fact it will be better-than-normal.

A full racing program featuring all seven weekly BRS division will be running their penultimate point race of the year.  In addition, the Original Pizza Logs 600 Sprint Tour will make their third and final trip to the 4/10-mile oval on Friday.  If that weren’t enough, a host of drivers from Raceway 5 will be invading Yates County.

Once again this season, this weekend will consist of a pair of BRS/ Raceway 5 Challenge Nights, one at each facility.  Any sportsman, late model, street stock or RWD 4-Cylinder competitor that runs both nights of the challenge will receive a $100 bonus.  For any questions regarding format or rules, please consult either ownership group.

Brady Fultz carries a 37 point lead in to this weekend in the sportsman division over defending champion Donnie Lawson which makes it very simple for Fultz: beat Lawson and clinch the title.  The Dundee product has won the last two events and now has four at the track this year.

John Waters holds a 48 point lead over Jason Knowles in the late model division which means Waters only needs a top-five to lock up his first BRS Track Title.  Waters has been all but untouchable in Yates County with six wins in eight starts this year.

A much tighter point race is in line with the street stocks.  Defending Champion Chris Fisher is just four points ahead of his rival Bob Buono with Dylan Cecce closing after two recent wins to get within 18 points.

Another tight point race is in the IMCA Modified division with defending division champion Mike Smith now atop the standings by just three points over Phil Yaw.  Dave Yehl and Rich Karlnoski are also well within striking distance, just 12 and 14 points back, respectively.

In the four cylinder divisions, Rich Sharpsteen is slowly stretching out his lead over James Kreidler II in the Signs Plus of Kanona class, Steven Rogers holds a 12-point lead over Jamie Eldridge in the FWD Division while Lance Irwin is still atop the bandit standings, but now Brandon Mathews is second in the standings and just two points back of Irwin while Justin Eldridge is just five points back.

The bandit feature will kick off the night of racing at 6:45 P.M. this Friday.  Keep in mind that there may be restrictions on food and drinks permitted for this special night.  For more information, visit www.BlackRockspeedway.com.
