Dart BRP CanAm Challenge Returns To Black Rock Speedway

DundeeNY…The Dart BRP CanAm Late Model Challenge is set for Friday August 26 at Black Rock Speedway in Dundee,NY.  This will be a great five division race program on fan appreciation night when grandstand admission is free.  As always there is no charge for parking.

Too good to be true?  No, free admission and free parking.  The ticket sellers have the night off!

The six event Dart BRP CanAm Late Model Challenge started at Black Rock on June 3 with John Waters claiming his first ever A-Main win at the Dundee track.  The following week the Challenge moved to Little Valley Speedway in Little Valley, NY where Jeremy Wonderling claimed the $1000 winner’s check. Events three and four were last month with Bruce Miller winning at Little Valley and Jason Knowles claiming the winner’s trophy and the biggest check at Black Rock.

Four different winners in four events and a block-buster point battle are indicators of the treat race fans are in for at Black Rock on Friday August 26.

John Waters will lead the march to Black Rock as the point leader, but he has little breathing room (14 points) over Jason Knowles.  The point battle for the lion’s share of the $7000 point fund is intense. Only 87 points separate Waters, the leader, and tenth place driver, Jared Hill.  Between Waters and Hill there are two positions tied and several other very close.  The point spread is 100 for a win and 40 for a start so the Challenge point battle is wide open.  After Black Rock the Challenge will conclude at Little Valley on Sunday September 4.

The Dart BRP CanAm Late Model Challenge is a cooperative effort with Dart Machinery of Troy, Michigan, Bicknell Racing Products of St, Catharines, Ontario, Canada and the participating track operators (Dean Hoag of Black Rock Speedway and John Charlesworth of Little Valley Speedway).

Dart BRPCanAm Challenge point standings (top 10 of 33 after 4 of 6 events): 1. John Waters – 331, 2. Jason Knowles – 317, 3 (tie). Jeff Chesebro – 299, 3 (tie). Jeremy Wonderling – 299, 5 (tie).
