Rain Wins For First Time at Black Rock Since April

DUNDEE, NY – A persistent shower on Friday Afternoon ended a string of 16 events without a cancellation at the Black Rock Speedway.

The Re/Max Realty & Rental Sponsored event, featuring a full card, plus the Black Rock/ Woodhull Challenge, Ladies 4-Cylinder Event and a Kid’s Bike Give-a-way was postponed just after 4:00 p.m.

All of those special events: BR/WH St Challenge, Lady 4-Cylinder and the bike drawing will take place next Friday, August 3, as part of Lakeside Lanes & Calacino Electric Night.

The Marbles Automotive 358-Modifieds are off next week, with the Hoselton Sportsman running a challenge event with the top names from Canandaigua Speedway in the Lake-to-Lake Challenge. Also taking place will be the Fourth Annual Bowler’s Challenge between Parker Bohn III and Newark’s Doug Kent, the 2007 PBA Bowling Champion. This will be part of the Godfather Race on Italian Weekend.

Racing action, as always, kicks off with the Bandits at 6:45 p.m.
