Monster Trucks Invade Black Rock Speedway This Weekend
DUNDEE, NY - Car-crushing excitement returns to the Finger Lakes this weekend as Predator and his friends invade the Black Rock Speedway for two nights to kick off a thrilling month of June.
Monster Trucks replace the mighty modifieds Friday, June 1, as Knight Settlement Sand and Gravel, along with J & J Coots Construction present an action-packed extravaganza.
Predator, Pouncer, Prowler and Lone Eagle are the four beasts that will be running on both nights as they race, crash, jump and spin around the infield of Black Rock Speedway.
A number of various exhibitions will be displayed on both nights each night, with even more being brought to the table to this yearís program.
On Friday night, there will be six weekly divisions joining in on the fun. Leading off will be the Hoselton Crate Sportsman who saw Todd Henderson return to form last week.
Henderson and Brady Fultz are the only two winners this year, but a number of other competitors will factor in to the running of race five of the season.
The Freedom Village USA Super Stocks also saw a familiar face return to Victory Lane with Jeremy Wonderling picking up the win. Donnie Smith still remains the point leader, with Quinn Sutherland still lurking close in third behind Wonderling.
Darl Ellis picked up his first career win at Black Rock last week in the Regional Truck Steret Stock event. He is now the point leader over Bubba Burnell as those two have broken away from the pack in pursuit of the Championship.
Jared Hill also broke through into the win column, with his victory coming in his second feature of the night with the Regional Truck Pro Trucks. Hill was able to hold off Chris Leroux, who remains the point leader, ahead of Terry Povoski.
Russ Wassner not only won his first career race at Black Rock Friday, he also won at Genesee on Saturday. While Wassner leads the points in Batavia, it is still Scott Yaw who shows the way in he Signs Plus of Kanona 4-Cylinders.
The bandits saw Tom Austin Jr. get back to Victory Lane and increase his point lead for the first time in six weeks. Dylan Cecce remains hard on the charge for the Championship, with Erica Bell placed third.
On Saturday Night, the Monster Trucks will return with support from Knight Settlement Sand and Gravel; this time they will be joined by the Total Destruction Demolition Derby.
The derby will include a full smash and crash session, along with a front-stretch figure-8 for even more wreckage to thrill the crowd.
Adult General Admission tickets will be just $14 each night, with kidís seats as always just half-price. Family packs will also be available to help everyone enjoy the big night at "The Rock".
