WORLD OF OUTLAW LATE MODEL SERIES JUST DAYS AWAY AT THE OUTLAW SPEEDWAY
A multitude of support classes to be run over the Fall Nationals weekend, Sept. 21 and 22, 2018
Tioga Downs Casino and Resort in Nichols, NY to sponsor the two day affair at the Yates County Oval.
(Dundee, NY) No play on words, but the Outlaws are coming to Outlaw and it’s just days away.
The highly acclaimed World of Outlaw Late Model Series will make its inaugural appearance at the Outlaw Speedway in Dundee, NY on Friday night September 21 presented by Tioga Downs Resort, Casino and Harness Racing Facility in Nichols, NY.
All the top stars that compete regularly in the WoO Late Model Series along with a how’s who list of other northeast regional Late Model pilots will be at the popular Yates County speed plant looking for the $10,000 to win top price. Yes, you read correctly! Ten Thousand smackers will get any Late Model drivers attention and it is expected to be a huge first ever appearance at the Outlaw Speedway for the full fendered brigade.
The WoO Late Models will race on Friday of the two day event marking the 3rd Annual Fall Nationals at the popular Dundee, NY oval located right in the heart of the Finger Lakes Region of Upstate New York.
With larger than usual pit parking the back gates will open at 3:30 pm on Friday afternoon with the Main Grandstand seating area opening at 4:30 pm.
The 360 Sprints and the Friendly Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram Mighty Modifieds will have 15 lap Dash Qualifiers that will lock in the top two finishers in each respective class for Saturday’s feature events. The Classy Street Stocks are also on the card racing for $1,000 and the top two finishers will be guaranteed starters in the season ending World 100 to be run as part of the Dutch Hoag Triple 7’s Weekend in October. The Hoosier Tire shod Crate Sportsman will race for a hefty $1,500 to win.
Fans are to be advised that with this being the first ever appearance for the World of Outlaw Late Model Series at the track they should try and arrive early to avoid long lines at the main gate.
Then on Saturday it will be a complete show of 360 Sprints and the Modified Gun Slinger 50 with both feature winners picking up $5,000. Also on the Saturday card it will be the IMCA Fastshaft and Doug Gross Construction Crate Late Models both paying $1,200 to win along with the $750 to win Open Rules 4 Cylinders. Series event number 6 of the Outlaw Speedway American Racer Tire Crate Sportsman Challenge will be run on Saturday with the winner nailing down a check for $1,500. The Hobby Stocks winner picks up $500 with the winner of the 600 Sprints taking home $600. Saturdays pit gates open at 2:00 pm with the main grandstand’s set to swing the gates at 3:30 pm. Hot laps are scheduled for 5:00 pm.
